WARRANTY TERMS

Eligibility

A. All makes and models;

B. Maximum vehicle age of eight (8) years for Japanese brands & five (5) years for Continental brands from the current date and mileage recorded less than 100,000 km at the time of purchase of the warranty program.

Condition Precedent

Coverage under the Warranty Plan is subject to APEG Warranty’s approval. ALL vehicles shall undergo an assessment conducted either by APEG Warranty or any service center as hereinafter annexed for the evaluation of the vehicle’s condition prior to the issuance of the Warranty coverage.

Cooling Off

There shall be a Cooling-Off Period of 30 days or 1,000 km from the Effective Issue Date, whichever is later. During the Cooling-Off Period, either Party may, by giving written notice to the other Party, withdraw from their obligations under this Warranty; in the event, all current and/or future obligations of the Parties arising under this Warranty shall be severed and all moneys paid shall be refunded.

Payment of Warranty Premium

All Warranty Premium or any payment due from the Effective Issue Date shall be paid before the lapse of the Cooling-Off period as hereinafter prescribed, failure of which the Warranty shall be deemed null and void.

Vehicle History

The approval and acceptance of coverage under the Warranty Plan is subject to APEG Warranty’s absolute discretion upon the assessment of the vehicle’s history, including but not limited to any past involvement in accident, major reparation and/or replacement of parts.

Undertaking to Read and Fully Understand the Terms and Conditions

You are required to read and fully understand all terms and conditions stipulated herein and to conform with the terms and conditions throughout the term of this Warranty Plan to ensure continuous coverage of the Warranty.

Warranty Booklet

You are required to always carry the Warranty Booklet for the purposes of Warranty Claim and/or recording of maintenance services. 

Repair Works

Vehicle owners are obligated to repair their vehicle as recommended by the workshop with APEG’s Approval and any refusal to do so may render the warranty coverage void. APEG hereby reserves the right to refuse any warranty against the same type of repair in any subsequent claim(s).

(APEG Warranty reserves the rights to decide for the vehicle under the valid warranty program to; repair or replace faulty parts permissible to be claimed with either approved reconditioned or new parts)

Hidden Defects

Vehicle owners hereby represent to APEG that the vehicle condition which is subjected to the warranty under this program is as declared to APEG, and any hidden defect and/or damage which are within the owner’s, sales agent’s and AP Holder’s knowledge but failed to be declared, shall be excepted from this warranty coverage.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

  1. The car shall be sent for service according to the manufacturer service schedule and shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer service standard by any authorized/approved SSM-Registered & PIAM-Registered.

  2. The service record booklet must include the service reference number, signed, and stamped by the service and repair center confirming that service has been carried out accordingly.

  3. Any repairs on the warranty part during the warranty period shall only be made upon workshop provisional authorization/approval from us.

  4. No claims will be accepted for damage caused by:
    • Neglect
    • Corrosion
    • Any foreign matter getting into or onto a parts
    • Lack of servicing
    • Overheating or freezing
    • Abuse
    • Damage to parts not covered under this warranty
    • Correct oil / fluid levels not maintained
    • Intentional Damage
    • Riot
    • Vandalism
    • Mischief
    • Act of Terrorism
    • Motorsport Racing Purpose
  1. No claim will be accepted for damage caused by fire, flood, war, sonic booms, or nuclear radiation.

  2. Warranty of repairs will be made entirely at the discretion of the warranty administrator who reserves the right to either repair/recondition damaged components or to replace damaged components with the used/reconditioned components. No repairs may be carried out until the warranty administrator provides a claim recommendation.

  3. If you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions of this warranty, your claim will be rejected, and your warranty will be canceled/revoked.

  4. No claim will be accepted for any consequential loss due to parts not covered by this warranty, where consequential loss is caused by the covered part.

  5. Non-disclosure or misrepresentation – this policy is voidable if you or your representative fail to disclose or misrepresents any material fact.

  6. We will keep any personal information given to us in strict confidence and in compliance with Data Protection Act 2010, but for the purpose of providing and handling claims, this may mean passing the information to third parties with an implied consent by customer.

  7. We reserve the right to alter/modify the conditions without prior notice to customers.

  8. Cancellation; This warranty has no refundable value and is not transferable to another vehicle.

  9. Ownership; This warranty policy shall be considered void and non-transferable when the covered vehicle is sold to a new owner. The warranty is expressly provided to the original purchaser of the vehicle and is not transferrable to subsequent owners.

  10. Normal service routine should use only Fully Synthetic Oil following the schedule of every six (6) month or 10,000 km (Whichever comes first).
